Power of Youth Handbook

What do we do?Power of Youth Logo - Color

The Power of Youth Council meets monthly to plan and implement programming.  Each year we accept applications for youth related projects and then award grants.  Members receive leadership training and learn about philanthropy.   We learn anyone can be a philanthropist by giving your time, talent or treasure for the good of society.

Goals of Power of Youth:

  • Develop important life skills including leadership,
    teamwork and empathy
  • Learn basics of grantmaking
  • Create opportunities for youth to be philanthropists in their communities
Like any program or organization, we have expectations for each of our members (adults and council members).  Please read the Handbook so that you are familiar with these expectations when deciding on if you would like to be consider for the Power of Youth Council.
