Apply for the Perry County Power of Youth Council

 

Who can join?

It's open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors of each Perry County high school & to home school students

 

When does it meet?

Once a month on the third Wednesday of each month.

 

Who is leading the program?

A team of dedicated community leaders who are collaborating with the Perry County Community Foundation and Purdue Extension - Perry County to teach our students how to give their time, talent and treasure back to our community

 

What will the program include?

The program will teach students about...

  • Volunteerism by allowing them to participate in the Youth Day of Caring this fall
  • Grantmaking by teaching them how to develop a grant request and let them make their own grant decisions with funds they have raised
  • Leadership and how to serve their communities now and in the future

Is there a charge to join?

No, the Perry County Community Foundation and Purdue Extension - Perry County are hosting the meetings and the Community Foundation provides additional funding to enable students to give out grants.
