Apply for the Perry County Power of Youth Council

 

Who can join?

It's open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors of each Perry County high school & to home school students

 

When does it meet?

Once a month on the third Wednesday of each month.

 

Who is leading the program?

A team of dedicated community leaders who are collaborating with the United Way and the Community Foundation to teach our students how to give their time, talent and treasure back to our community

 

What will the program include?

The program will teach students about...

  • Volunteerism by allowing them to plan the United Way Youth Day of Caring this fall
  • Grantmaking by teaching them how to develop a grant request and let them make their own grant decisions with funds they have raised
  • Leadership and how to serve their communities now and in the future

Is there a charge to join?

No, the United Way and the Community Foundation are hosting the meetings and will provide additional funding to enable students to give out grants.
